Another great month of gaming, with the holidays and gatherings of friends and family, it's always easy to get out some games.
CRUSHS
Since it's the holiday season, trick-taking games are in the spotlight this month!
LUZ : The trick-taking game that impressed the most here, by its originality! You hold and play your cards upside down, and you see the other players' games. You have two clues: its color and the cards are sorted in order. It works really well. It's always fun to see the card you turn over to play; sometimes, it's quite a surprise! 🙂
Mino Dice : a trick-taking game without cards, where dice are used instead. A strange idea, but to my surprise, it works really well, and the fun it provides around the table is really impressive. Of course, there is a lot of luck in this game.
Rebel Princess : A trick-taking game in which each player has a special power that can be used once per round. The rules change every round, similar to the principle in The Crew, but in a competitive rather than cooperative format.
Daitoshi : It's a very colorful and robust game, which remains very enjoyable with its fun little mechanics. The many possible combinations allow you to accumulate points in a satisfying way. It's rewarding to see your factory improve and your production gradually increase.
THE MENTIONS
Pleasant discovery of two games that caused a lot of noise in Essen:
Shackleton Base : 3 corporations that can change with each game and which change the way of making points. Very interesting this placement of workers with this crossing with the pieces of the other players which sometimes gives us small surprise bonuses.
Endeavour Deep Sea : First game we played in competitive mode. A game quite different from its predecessor, quite simple all the same, very effective and very fun. The exploration is very pleasant and the ocean tiles are very beautiful.
