LOGBOOK – HADLEY'S HOPE II MISSION
USCSS Covenant – Dustig Sector
DAY 847 – CYCLE 14 :: Navigation Officer Tina, T.
The silence of deep space was broken this morning by the incessant beeping of our sensors. After eighteen months of traveling through the void of interstellar space, we have finally found what we were looking for.
The planet appears on our screens as a greenish sphere streaked with thick clouds. The first atmospheric analyses are… promising. Oxygen: 21%. Nitrogen: 78%. Atmospheric pressure: 0.97 atm. Almost too good to be true.
Lambert is finishing the final orbital calculations. His hands are shaking slightly; we're all nervous. Sixteen months have passed since our last contact with Earth, and a few weeks have passed since we picked up those strange signals from the Traveler, from this planet.
DAY 847 – CYCLE 18 :: Captain Dallas, A.
I've given the order to stabilize the orbit at an altitude of 2000 kilometers. Scans reveal complex geology: vast oceans, landmasses, mountain ranges. And something else… geometric structures that don't appear natural. Chuck insists we take a closer look.
Ash, our science officer, remains strangely calm in the face of this discovery. He studies the data with his characteristic methodical precision. "Fascinating," he repeats, analyzing the spectrographic readings.
"We know nothing about this planet, Dallas. The quarantine protocol exists for a reason."
She's right, of course. But curiosity trumps caution. After all, we didn't come this far to turn back now...
DAY 848 – CYCLE 06 :: Captain Dallas, A.
Something is hitting our ship head-on; we need to evacuate the ship quickly.
….. End of transmission

DAY 848 – CYCLE 21 Navigation Officer Tina, T.
I stumble out of my escape pod, still shaken by the impact. The crash was brutal… It all happened in just a few minutes. An alarm, an evacuation order, then nothing. And now, here I am, alone, on an unknown land. The sky above me is a strange color, and the air has a metallic smell, almost familiar, but definitely not earthly. Around me, there is no sign of my crew.
My pod's onboard computer screen flickers faintly. A mission appears on it:
“Collect Valuables – Goal: 30 Units”.
Apparently, there are other survivors. No matter where I am, I have to start by surviving. And that starts with understanding what this planet has to offer.
DAY 848 – CYCLE 23 Navigation Officer Tina, T.
To my left, a grassy hill rises, crisscrossed by a rocky zigzag path leading to the summit. In the background, rugged formations are silhouetted against a cloudy sky.
Confident in the low gravity of this region, I take my courage in both hands and leave the path to head towards the clouds. Around me, the landscape unfolds in all its splendor: a sea of golden mists, ridges bathed in light… A breathtaking view, which uplifts the soul as much as the body. I close my eyes and think of a person to honor : My son, whose mind and wisdom are exemplary. I gain two boosts and one morale boost. When I open my eyes again, I am now standing on the opposite path, to the north.

A radio tower, floating rocks, some kind of wisdom stone... I stand alone on the edge of a wide chasm. I try to enter into communication with this stone. I become one with it; it whispers in my ear what the next step will be. I gain three tokens: Take, Master, and Commitment. I see an opening between the rocks. I continue my path north.

A treasure chest lies on the rocky ground. To the south, clouds make hiking difficult. I decide to force The chest lock suddenly opens. Unfortunately, the noise awakens the nearby stone-skinned lizard; it literally lunges at me. I retaliate, incapacitate it, and then discover a shining crystal in its carcass. I continue north.

The wind picks up and blows hard as I stand at the top of this world. I have a strange feeling that my friend Chuck is trying to communicate with me. The tundra stretches into the distance. I come across the first Sentient, a metal-type inhabitant of this planet. I try to Persuasion : it works 🙂 He invites me into one of the buildings, where I meet another Sentient, happy to see me and eager to continue exploring with me. We continue together towards the east.

Ah, here it is: I meet the mysterious one Traveler, the one who sent us the signal that led us here! He informs me: "The metallic sentients, known for their security protocols, build their homes in these gigantic magnetic stones."
I spy through a window and I see a beautiful wok. There is someone inside. The Traveler appears next to me and says, "You know, you could save up and buy a house like this."
I then receive a new Destiny mission: the objective is to obtain a house. The wok could surely help me in my main quest, so I decide to enter the house while the inhabitants are asleep, hoping to steal this object.

The metal sentients seem to live like humans! Satisfied with the quality of the wok, I discreetly retrieve it, leave the area, and continue east.

The hairs on my arms stand on end due to a combination of gravitational anomalies and a strange ship floating in front of me. The flowers on the nearby rock catch my eye. I pluck a lotus. I take advantage of this quiet moment to construct a cast iron armor using my previously acquired wok, bringing my item value to 16 out of the 30 needed for my mission. I continue east.

Even at a safe distance, the heat from the fireballs visibly distorts the air. I decide to drill and find pieces of malleable, but not hot, lava. I take the opportunity to craft a new item: Chingadera lava, which I carefully store in a vial. Time is running out, and I continue my journey north around the volcano, barely dodging fireballs. Earthquakes and occasional salvos of flaming projectiles make my progress almost fatal. But, satisfied with having succeeded, my morale is rising.

With the heat of the volcano now at my back, a small animal flutters in front of me. A combination of flames and wings keeps it aloft. I approach it quietly to to coax himThe creature moves forward cautiously, finally realizing that I pose no threat. It joins the group, and we cautiously continue east.

A large rune adorns a natural stone arch. To the south, a city on an island is reduced to ashes. Hunger is setting in; I take advantage of the proximity of the water to to fish. Oh, I'm really lucky, I catch a kraken, a monstrosity! It stinks terribly... By keeping its carcass, I'm likely to repel anyone I come across on my way😬. We continue east.

We disembark on a rocky island covered with exotic flowers. I tear it off a plant, clearing the earth from its roots. Its stem is as sharp as a razor blade. I leave with a deep gash on my leg… but with one more flower in my inventory that allows me to exceed the desired value of my main mission. (33 / 30).
This precious collection will be very profitable on the galactic market =). I am offered two new missions:
– Establish a business
– Wait for help while surviving for 6 cycles
Before going any further, Istudied The first proposal to see how I could quickly establish this business. Since I have little time and energy left, I fail the test. Since I no longer have enough energy, I must stop this adventure.

DAY 848 – CYCLE 75 Navigation Officer Tina, T.
After this first day, this planet doesn't seem so hostile, on the contrary, it seems magnificent! The Sentients who inhabit it seem collaborative, at least some of them. And this mysterious Traveler will make our job easier. I'll return to the pod and report the positive result to the commander, or whoever assigned me this mission. I'll stay in the pod overnight and attempt to communicate with the crew again tomorrow.
