November 2025 Gaming Report

Last modified January 3, 2026 by Jarjar

A fun-filled month ahead! It's a quieter period for outdoor activities, a transition between mountain biking and skiing. We're eagerly awaiting the opening of the ski resorts here, and with more free time, there are more opportunities to play! =)

FAVORITES

Covenant I discovered it solo and loved the experience. It reminds me of White Castle because you're limited to only 12 actions over 3 turns, making it impossible to be everywhere at once! The action system forces you to play strategically across the board. You have to find winning combos, and it's very satisfying when you succeed. It has a great presence on the table. I can't wait to try it in multiplayer.

The White Castle Duel I had my doubts, but it definitely won me over. Aside from the theme and icons, the core mechanics are different from its predecessor. It's a very tight game; accumulating resources isn't easy. However, you have to plan everything carefully and keep your options open, especially for the final turns!

Duel for Cardia The game offers a great mix of strategy and bluffing. It's super fun, this combat mechanic where only the loser can activate the card's power, which affects past and future battles! Wow! Two different decks are available, and there will undoubtedly be several expansions to come!

THE MENTIONS

Sweet Lands This game was a wonderful discovery, with a unique, sweet, and adorable theme. It's definitely a substantial game, with many components and several interconnected mechanics that work very well! I'll need to play it again for a more complete assessment, but the more I think about it, the more I want to play it again. It's very close to being a favorite!

Ezra and Nehemian I tried it solo and really enjoyed this game where you have to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem. The theme is interesting and well integrated. The action selection system stands out with its card grid where the power of each action depends on the flags scattered throughout. Ultimately, it's an excellent puzzle game, both original and satisfying.

Presage Beautiful tarot-style cards. A team game where the winner discards their card, but beware, the powers will counter it and change the game. Chaotic but truly a lot of fun around the table with this game!

Other honorable mentions: Thebes (already mentioned the month) previous), Adjustment (which I'm waiting to play in multiplayer before making a judgment), Compile (also mentioned the month) previous) and Wild Tiled Westwhich is very fun.

ALL GAMES PLAYED

57 games this month.
